05/Nov/2008: Confirmation of Xmas Cup Fixtures/Trophies
There appears to be some confusion on format for Xmas Cup and if this was not made clear we apologise.The idea of the Xmas Cup was to give Clubs a Competitive Competition rather than just Friendly weeks up to Xmas.Originally it had been proposed to put 2 Teams through from the groups but this was later amended to three (so more Teams played competitevly on those weeks limiting Friendlies as per the original idea).This was noted on this website but has obviously not been picked up by all Clubs.Games on 22nd December were therefore quarter Finals for those Clubs not Semi-Finals as some Teams assumed.Trust this clarifies the position.
Semi-Finals are Chemical Bruvvers v Off in the Wood and After Eights v Essex Boys.Plate Final is Grays Galacticos v Locomotiv Thurrock.
Trophies for season recently completed should be available 12th January-Teams to receive them must have monies paid up to date on 5th January please.
